Custom Built In Wall Unit

The customer had a few obstacles and requirements to consider.  One being the window and the other is an HVAC duct in the floor.  If you look at the right most toe kick on the custom built wall unit you can see the HVAC duct was brought out through the toe kick.  The drawers were placed under the window to accommodate the TV requirement and a great solution for the window to allow natural light to enter the room.

Behind two sets of doors are shelves for shoes and folded items.  Another set of doors has double hanging bars for clothes and the last set of doors has space for long hanging garments.   All of the doors have soft close hinges and all of the drawers have full extension drawer runners with birch plywood drawer boxes.  These high end components will allow for years of trouble free service.

To provide perspective on this wall unit each door and drawer section is 24” wide for an overall built in width of a little over 12’.  The depth is 24” which is a requirement if you are going to hang clothes behind doors.
